“I commend you, my brothers and sisters, for following the teaching that I have given you. But I want you to remember that all believers are like Jesus’ body. The whole body is under the authority of Jesus, and Jesus of God. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one, and are the head of the body. Just as Jesus has authority over the body of believers, men have authority over women within the body – not as master over servant, but as one who would lead over one who would follow. Although in Jesus we are all set free, and all made equal, there is still a hierarchy of authority within the body of believers.”
