3/15/17 Encouragement From Jesus

This declaration from the Pharisaic scribes sparks further discord among the council of the Sanhedrin.  As voices grow louder and opposing factions close in on each other, the commander of the garrison steps in.  “Take Paul into custody and remove him from this room, now!” he commands his soldiers.  They comply immediately, seizing Paul by his wrists and pulling him away into the barracks.  He remains in Roman custody, and the next night has a vision from the Holy Spirit.  Jesus stands next to Paul, saying, “Cheer up!  You have been faithful to your calling, coming to Jerusalem and boldly standing as a witness for Me, even after you were warned over and over that danger would be waiting for you here.  Now, I need you to do the same for Me in Rome.”

Acts 23:10-11
