1/3/17 God’s Love For Us Is Stronger Than Anything Else That Can Try To Come Against Us

“So we are judged, demeaned, called insane, mocked, slandered, not taken seriously by our peers.  So what?  Who are they compared with God, who loves us, calls us His own dear children, takes care of us, and never stops working on us until we have reached the perfection that He calls us to?  And besides all of this, Jesus, who came for us, died for us, came back to life for us, and now is sitting enthroned at God’s right hand, continually prays for us and pleads our case for us before God.  Is there anything or anything that can come between us and Jesus?  Suffering, anguish, torture, starvation, homelessness, joblessness, danger, even soldiers wielding weapons against us?  No!  As the Psalm says, ‘For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.’  But because God loved us enough to send Jesus to die for us, we are able to rise above all of these things, and even triumph over them.  In fact, I believe with all my heart that there is nothing that can ever separate us from God’s love for us in Jesus, our Savior – not life or death, angels or demons, governments or personal vendettas, current or future trials, the highest heights or the lowest depths, or anything else in all of creation.”

Romans 8:34-39
