9/14/16 All For One & One For All

“So God created our bodies to be examples of unity in diversity.  The eye can’t say to the hand, nor the head to the feet, ‘I don’t need you.’  Even the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest would be sorely missed if absent.  The parts of our body that we consider private, and perhaps not as decent as the rest of the body, still we honor by covering them with special clothing, sometimes very elaborate special clothing.  And those parts of the body that we consider the most decent are left exposed to the world for all to see, uncovered by the clothing that honors the private areas.  God designed the body this way, so that all parts would be considered equal, whether private or not, and giving no greater importance to one area than to another.  So it is with us – we are all members of one body, and we all have gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit.  Some gifts may be considered more important than others because of the level of prestige that comes with them.  But in truth, all gifts are equal, as are all members of the body.  We are all different and our gifts are all different, but those differences should bring us together to work in harmony instead of dividing us.  When we are truly brothers and sisters living as one body, the suffering or rejoicing of one should affect us all.”
