9/9/16 The Way Communion Should Be Celebrated

“Jesus Himself gave me a vision of the last meal He ate with His apostles on the night He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, and I have taught you all that He taught me.  On that night, our Messiah was gathered for the Passover meal with His apostles.  He stood and thanked God for what He had provided, then picked up a loaf of bread and broke it, saying as He did so, ‘This is My body, for you.  Do this to remember Me.’  All assembled ate together, and when they had finished, Jesus stood again and held up a cup of wine.  ‘This cup represents the new covenant that God is making with His people through the blood of the sinless Lamb of God, which is to be sacrificed to atone once for all the sins of the whole world.  Whenever you gather together and drink of it, do so to remember Me.’  This is the way you should be coming together to eat meals dedicated to the Lord.  Whenever you eat the bread and drink the wine, you are telling the world about Jesus’ sacrificial death, until He returns to take His own to be with Him.”
