7/19/15 The Second Gift Is For Everyone

“Now, the number 4 represents the 4 corners of the earth, the Gentiles of the world.  And the number 7 represents the Sabbath, the 7th day of the week, the day of rest.  When the children of Israel were wandering in the desert for 40 years after their escape from slavery in Egypt, God gave them manna, bread from heaven.  He provided the manna for them 6 days a week.  On the 6th day they were to gather enough manna for 2 days, because no manna would fall on the Sabbath.  So the 4,000 Gentile men with their wives and children sat on the dirt in the Decapolis, a Gentile region, and were fed from the 7 loaves of bread, and then you collected 7 large baskets of leftovers.  This was to show that after the Gift of Salvation is given to the children of Israel, it will also be given to all the world, to the Gentiles.  God will always provide enough for everyone, every day.  Collecting the baskets of leftovers was to show that God’s gifts to His children should never be taken for granted or wasted, and that He will always provide enough to take care of all His children, if they will only trust in Him.”
